Ashford Meetings

Ashford Meetings
for Breastfeeding Support
We have in-person meetings once or twice a month in the Ashford area.
There will always be the opportunity for those present to address burning issues and discuss other aspects of breastfeeding, or to talk to an LLL Leader (accredited breastfeeding counsellor) about a specific breastfeeding issue.
Are you breastfeeding or chestfeeding (exclusively or partially)? Or pregnant and hoping to feed your baby your milk? Or feeding your baby your expressed milk or donor milk? Looking for information and/or support? Or just after some social time with other nursing parents (and their babies, toddlers and pre-school children) and to share your own experiences with others? You are all welcome.
Venue
In-person meetings are currently held at Lily's Cafe at Singleton in Singleton Village Hall, Hoxton Close, Ashford TN23 5LB (near Singleton Health centre, Great Chart primary school and Singleton barn). Thank you to Lily's Community for hosting us.
For the first few months of 2024, we are holding meetings every third Friday of the month, 10.45am-12.15pm.
Upcoming meetings:
For all meetings, you are welcome to arrive whenever you are ready, during the advertised session times. It is totally fine to come for just some of the meeting, and arrive late/leave early, as needed. Babies, toddlers and older children are welcome; there are some toys, and space to play, at the venue but you may also wish to bring additional things to keep them occupied if you want.
We are open to considering additional venues, particularly if you have links and can help us investigate the venue, as we know 'Ashford' covers quite a large surrounding area.

For more details of any of our meetings, please contact Anna anna.lllkent@gmail.com / 07779 827 540 (text/call/WhatsApp), or request to join our Facebook group.
LLL Library at Ashford:
At most meetings, we will bring books which are available for loan, usually for one month unless other timings are needed. A list is here https://www.libib.com/u/lllekcanterbury (switch to the 'East Kent Ashford' tab to see the Ashford books). We also bring paper leaflet copies of several of the articles at https://www.laleche.org.uk/get-support/ .
If there's a particular leaflet or book loan you're interested in, let us know so that we can check for you if a copy is available, and make sure we bring it to the next meeting if it's available. We can also try other arrangements to get leaflets or loan books to you, if you are unable to come to a meeting.
Library book amnesty - please contact Anna if you have an outstanding LLL library book that you'd like to return.. no judgement whatsoever :)
